In mid-2008 Trakya Cam Sanayii A.S Otocam Fabrikası, a subsidiary of Sisecam Dis Tic. A.S., got for the first time a complete plant for the glass encapsulation production assigned to the production of a series of new Fiat auto models.
Sisecam, which carried out glass production for the first time in the year 1935, has continued and increased its production facilities both in Turkey and foreign countries in the flat glass, glassware, chemical and glass packaging divisions, with new investments.
Sisecam produces according to International standards with a staff of 18.000 and 5 of its companies are traded on Istanbul Stock Exchange.
IMPIANTI OMS supply is composed of an high pressure foaming machine model Ecomaster 30/15 with output of min. 45 and max 450 gr/sec, and of a press model PSO-160-120 having dimensions 1600x1200 mm.
In order to guarantee the best Polyurethane injection control, the machine is equipped with:
- Metering groups with inverters, output controllers and modulating nozzles to assure the maximum precision and injection repetitiveness at every change of the glass models.
- Magnetic joints and special devices on tanks to avoid any contacts of the materials with the air because of the high hygroscopicity of this type of Polyurethane.
- Precise and constant control of the components temperature to guarantee that the whole process is executed at the same temperature, thanks to conditioned jacket tanks and to the relevant heat exchangers.
The press supplied by Impianti OMS is multi-functions hydraulic type, suitable to RIM injection process and to the support of special mechanized moulds necessary to the glass encapsulating process.
The press design includes some small section cylinders for the speed carrying out of the parallel opening/closing movement and a special pre-loading system of the main sealing pistons, in order to allow a deceleration and a soft closure during the press closing phase.
The special OMS devices allow to apply a closing power of 800 KN on the mould without the breaking of the glass occurs.
