LANCE SYSTEM : THE RIGHT BALANCE BETWEEN COST AND QUALITY !

Although much interest and emphasis is placed these days on continuous metal panel production, there remains a thriving market for discontinuous panel production, especially in cases where production volumes cannot justify the levels of investment needed for the continuous process.
For the injection of discrete panels there are a number of foaming techniques available and the OMS Lance System represents one offering real technical and cost benefits.
Utilising a specially developed “flat” high pressure impingement type mixing head the Lance System employs a driven chain assembly which allows the head and component hoses to travel through the panel cavity which can be up to 12 metres long. As soon as pouring commences the lance withdraws at a programmed rate to ensure the panel is correctly wetted out and the foam dispensed evenly, giving good density distribution, reduced voids and better adhesion.
This is important when PIR formulation are utilize because the reduced foam characteristics of the material are compensated by the better distribution of this process.
The Lance System also has a vertical axis facility to enable panels held in multi daylight presses to be foamed consecutively and the foaming cycle at each level can be programmed to operate in a fully automatic cycle in respect to panel length, timing and speed of withdrawal.
