PUREN TOP-PERFORMANCE FROM “TOP-LINE”
Uberlingen, close to the shores of Lake Constanz is the home of Puren GMBH, one of Germany’s premier division producers of flexible faced PIR insulation board and block foam.
As part of the company’s technology renewal process OMS Group has recently installed a new 30 metre double belt conveyor capable of producing at up to 20 metres/minute and supplied complete with an insulated tunnel enclosure and heating system capable of maintaining process temperatures of 70˚C.
Of greater significant in the new investment program is the installation in July 2007 of one of our TOP-LINE continuous slabstock lines for rigid block production.
Some 27 metres long from the five section fall plates to the end of the conveyor, this state of the art line gives PUREN the ability to produce blocks up to 1.6 metres width by 1,2 metres height, in a range of density from 30 to 600 Kg/m3.
A total of 19 metering lines, including pentane and solid flame retardant dosing via our EcoFiller technology, are able to give a total maximum output of up to 250 Kg/min.
All the components metering lines are fitted with mass flow meters with variable speed closed loop drives, for accurate and consistent metering through the OMS dynamic mixing head group.
Set up, storage and control of the formulation required in production is carried out via a menu driven colour screen HMI.
All working parameters relating to the particular production run are monitored and stored on our “PDS” (Production Data Storage system) which can link directly to the companies Quality Control PC and all quality and critical parameters and trends are instantly communicated.
