Since the last issue of PU Focus the inexorable demand for insulation products having improved thermal and fire properties has seen a tremendous growth in the number of plants installed for the continuous production of flexible, metal and rigid board faced composite panels.
OMS Group has been at the forefront of this highly specialised sector, our design and manufacturing team have literally decades of experience to draw upon and this has enabled us to develop and produce highly personalised technical solutions tailored to meet the most diverse and complex production requirements.
Indeed, based on specific customer requirements, OMS Group has successfully introduced continuous lines for the production of flexible substrate panels for roofing, cavity wall insulation and ducts for air conditioning systems; rigid gypsum, cement or wood product faced panels for residential construction elements, roof panels, thermo-ventilated roof systems etc and metal faced composites for cold store and industrial roof and wall construction applications. The breadth of our experience has involved the use of PUR / PIR foam systems, phenolic resin and also the use of preformed core materials such as EPS and mineral fibre lamellas.
We believe our technology and quality in this market sector to be second to none and we can proudly list the most important manufactures in Europe and around the world as not only customers but partners with whom we have worked and cooperated to bring their most ambitious projects to fruition.
Amongst those most important references we can mention with enthusiasm:
Efisol france
Having previously supplied in 2001 a complete plant for flexible faced panels, OMS Group has recently supplied Efisol a new highly specialised continuous plant for the production of thermo-ventilated roof panels. These specialised units comprise a lower substrate in 25mm thick timber board and a flexible paper upper substrate.
Eurothane ireland
This newly formed company based in Ballyconnell Ireland has invested in a plant for insulating panels for the construction industry, principally for cavity wall insulation. The plant has a line speed of 10 metres a minute and is capable of cutting and milling the panels on all four sides to create a full joint detail to eliminate thermal bridging.
Firestone building products usa
February 2004 saw the installation at the Corsicana Texas plant of a multi-component polyol / pentane metering unit and three self cleaning mixing heads for the high speed production of flexible faced panels. With the unit supplied to Corsicana, OMS Group completed the conversation of all Firestone manufacturing plants to pentane production and from 1999 up to date we have supplied a total number of eight polyol / pentane units.
Hemsec manufacturing uk
In order to cater for the burgeoning demand for industrial cold store panels capable of meeting stringent new fire regulations Hemsec Manufacturing has confirmed its position as a leading supplier to the cold storage industry by the introduction of a complete OMS production line.
Knauf france
A major supplier to the French insulation market, Knauf installed in June 2004 a complete plant for flexible faced composite panels. The plant supplied by OMS Group can use PUR and PIR foam systems and is also able to process pentane as the primary blowing agent.
Kingspan insulation pembridge uk
Three complete lines for the production of panels have been supplied to them.
Metallemporiki greece
An existing customer of OMS Group, having installed a metal / metal panel line in 1998 with subsequent upgrade to multi component metering and an extension to the double belt conveyor in 2002, Metallemporiki has now ordered a new line to double its productivity and give diversity to its product range. The new plant will have the additional capability to produce insulated sandwich panels having mineral wool cores.
Recticel belgium
After previously successfully supplying a new multi component high pressure metering group for the Belgium group, OMS Group has also recently signed a new contract for the supply of a high sped laminator. The new double belt, which will be delivered to their Wevelgem, Belgium plant, will be 38m long and capable of working at speeds up to 60m per minute giving Recticel a major boost to their production capacity.
Unilin system belgium
Wooden substrate based insulated sandwich panels supplied to a booming construction market has led to this leading Belgium supplier installing a new multi component high pressure metering line in their production centre in Toulouse, France. The patented self cleaning mixing head and the use of pentane as blowing agent characterise this highly capable and effective addition.
Xtratherm
After having installed in NAVAN IRELAND in 2002 a complete plant for flexible faced panels (High Speed Lamination at 50 metres/minute) OMS Group has recently signed a new contract for the supply of a second plant to XTRATHERM new premises in UK.
